Wow this new forum is great.
Now that the evenings are getting dark.
Where do people go for medium/long runs in the evening?
I tried running out to Glamnire but it was pretty hard to see in the dark!

Reg,

Its a long time since I have been running, but if you are near Glanmire a pretty safe route would be sto park your car near upper Glanmire school or the Barn restaurant and follow the Old Youghal Road to where it meets the North Ring Road. You can head North from there, going as far as you want (and then back again), right out the N20 as far as the Commons Bar with wide footpaths and more than adequate streetlighting. As far a I recall from the Barn restaurant to the Commons Bar and back is ~4 miles, so there and back is approaching 8 miles. The topology on that route is quite challenging also; I used to enjoy it - although I used to start at the Commons and head for Upper Glanmire coz that is where I lived.

Mark.
