Other runs/ sessions
Wednesday Douglas runs:
Tonight
was the first of our Douglas runs. The run was 7.2 miles in length and
we had 11 particpants. Pace was relaxed and averaged around 9 min. pace.
There is an option along the way to shorten the run to about 5.3 miles.
Because of the Mark in the Dark run next week, which will include many Eagle runners and Stewards (see news item below), we will not meet for the Douglas run, but it will resume on November 21st at 7pm. (Reminder email will be sent that week.). It's an ideal opportunity for newer members to run with a group at a relaxed pace and provides a great chance to get to know your clubmates!
Thursday Track Sessions: Maura Regan is currently following a half marathon training programme and will be doing her speed session this week at the track on Thursday. Maura would love company for her session: This week is 5 x 1200 meters at 6.20 pace and the jog recovery is 1/2 the time of the interval. You will find Maura at the track from 6.30 onwards for warm up if you would like to join her for session
Other News:
Race Round-up:
County Senior Cross Country:
Congratulations to the Eagle ladies team who took silver in
the County Senior Cross Country Championships last Sunday. Annemarie

the men's team- Charlie Byrd, Michael Corbett, David Muldowney and
Shane O' Shaughnessy all turned out for Eagle.

All tops need to be paid for in full before order can be placed. Money
will be taken at track on Tuesday night session. Money can be given to Elaine Guinane , Neil Mackay or John Desmond.
