The 'C Team - Cancer Survivors' Team finished in a very creditable 406th place in 4:01:24.

Testicular Cancer (2004) Survivor, former Inter-County and All-Star Joe Deane took the first 5.2 mile leg, completing it in 48 mins. Later that day, Joe turned out for his club, Killeagh, in a hurling club match.
John Ryan, Cork Triathlon Club, also a Testicular Cancer (2009) Survivor, took the 5.5 mile second leg, covering it in 50 mins. Notably John, who only had his surgery last January, finished his radiation treatment only at the end of April, 5 weeks before the event!!!

Eagle member John Quigley, Prostate Cancer - Surgery (2008) Survivor took the 4th 5.9 mile leg in 45 Mins.
Joe Dineen, Prostate Cancer - Radiation (2008) Survivor did the final "glory leg", running with Mossie Shanahan Skin Cancer (2003) Survivor, brought us in to the finish, completing the final 6.4 mile leg in 67 minutes, during the hottest part of the day.

The team were interviewed by Setanta Ireland TV and the Marathon coverage is going out on Monday June 8th on Setanta Ireland TV at 20:00.

We hope to expand the 'C team - Cancer Survivors' network, to do other events and continue inspiring others.

The full Team met up with 300 metres to go came into the finish together. inthe few weeks leading up to the event, the team had received a lot of press coverage, so the lift and acclamation we received coming down the last couple of hundred metres was absolutely fantastic.
