Eagle's Wieslaw Sosnowski won the Munster Masters Road Championships in Beaufort, Killarney yesterday.

Wieslaw's winning margin was 44 seconds, in a time of 20:39 over what can be described as a "tough course" and led Eagle's M35 team to the Bronze medals (the results on the Munster AAI website are incorrect) with 95 points.  The other scoring members of the Eagle team were Dave Muldowney, 13th, 22:36; John Desmond, 36th, 23:38 and Denis Carroll, 45th, 24:17.  Dave and John also scored on the winning Cork county team.  We understood the Wieslaw was also on the team and have asked for clarification.  The other members of the team were: Grellan McGrath, 50th, 24:37; Gary Relihan, 60th and Andy gibson, 75th, 27:57.

Eagle's M50 team were fourth with 176 points, with Pat Murphy, 52nd, 24:49; Pat Twomey, 59th, 25:17 and Joe Murphy, 65th, 25:54.  John Quigley, 77th, 29:15, was the non-scoring member of the team.

Anne Marie Healy was Eagle's only lady representative and was 5th overall in 11:57 and 2nd F35. Anne Marie also scored on the winning Cork F35 team.
