95,000+ Results!

Eagle AC's Race Results Database is now online!

Eagle's new searchable CARD database is now online. CARD is an acronym for Cork Area (Race) Results Database.

The database is up and running on the website: www.eagleac.net/results/CARD.php

You do NOT have to login to the database.  If you do find yourself unable to get in the username is guest and password is also guest.

The database has over 95,000 results from over 480 races.  It includes all results, not just Eagle members.  The races include all Ballycotton 10 and Eagle AC results to date.  These two series alone account for approx 34,000 records alone. The 31 Ballycotton 10 races to date account for 31,505,

The intent is to (eventually) include as many (historical) results as possible from the Cork area, including all available BHAA and AAI club results selected Munster and National results and any Eagle members results, irrespective of where on the planet they occur.

There are three search windows;

  • Races - search for a particular race and then view all the results from that race.
  • Results - search for a particular name/term/phrase.  e.g. search for all "Walshe", M40, Eagle, 5k, venue etc results and then order by selected column ascending/descending.
  • Custom - search using a number of criteria - use them all if you want.

Hopefully race organisers will start sending results directly to us in  Excel format
- so that we have a minimum of data manipulation before uploading (hundreds or thousands of well formatted results can be uploaded in two to three minutes, whereas some races involving say 100 runners have taken 20 minutes).  We also intend to put XC and track results up, along with a few other oddities e.g. Wicklow Way. Organisers! Please send your race results to eagle262[at]eircom.net - preferably in Excel format, but we'll take them in any electronic format.

Some of the old Eagle database results are already in the database but most aren't yet.  Please be patient, they'll be added when their respective races are uploaded. Any orphan results e.g. Dublin marathon results will, where available, be added asap.
