Best of luck from me also to all the Eagles in both the Marathon and the Relay. I don't know how many we have this year, but in 2007, we had 34 in the Marathon and 38 in the Relay, along with 5 stewards/officials.

Several of the Meet & Train ladies are also running the Marathon and they also have a Relay team going. So best of luck to them too! Indeed the present cadre of ladies in the group have made absolutely tremendous progress.

All going well, I hope to be at the Bridge over the South _link_, at Turner's Cross - just after 15M mark - hopefully taking photos.

Well done to all Eagles who finished the marathon and/or relay yesterday. I was in town for a while, watching the finishing and found it quite inspirational!!

Mark.

Indeed well done to all the Eagle and (Eagle) Meet & Train Marathoners and also bothe the Eagle & M&T relay members. Yesterday was a very, very warm day, so that made the running all the harder. Judging by finishing times across the board, times were back by at least 10 to 15 minutes each, nevertheless some people managed some very good times.

On a more personal note, I got fabulous rapport from the competitors, across all clubs, while watching at the bridge at Turner's Cross. Tahnks everyone!

Here are the Eagle finishers from the Cork City Marathon yesterday. I counted 21 but perhaps there are a few names in there not listed under Eagle?

This is my 2nd year doing this Marathon and I can honestly say that it is not an easy course. All of those little hills (Tunnel / Mahon / Turners Cross / Lough / Wilton / Model Farm Road / Inchagaggin) play havoc with any targets. I'd say each of us lost several minutes compared to a flat course. Anyway, here are the results with your pace _base_d on your chip time.

Pos / Clock Time / Name / Club / Cat / Chip Time / Pace _base_d on Chip Time / Misc
22 / 2:56:24 / DUNNE, Ciaran / Eagle AC / Senior Men / 2:56:23 / 6m 43.6s per mile
